V-belt is a kind of belt used for transmission, and it is a part of mechanical equipment used to transmit force and goods. For the safety of work, it is very important to choose a V-belt of assured quality. Here we tell you how to check the quality of the V-belt and Inspection method of V belt:
1. Check the v- belt situation and tightness
Check the belt for damage and peeling. Before the v-belt is broken, there will be slipping sound, and the surface of the v-belt will appear cracks, abrasion and peeling. Therefore, it should be carefully observed and the belt should be replaced in time if the above phenomenon occurs. Check the tightness of the fan belt. When you press the middle part of the belt with your thumb with a force of 9-10kg, the deflection should be 5-10mm. If it does not meet the requirements, it should be adjusted.
2. Adjust the tightness of the V-belt
If the belt is too loose, it will cause engine overheating. When adjusting the tightness of the V-belt, use the adjusting bolts to shift the entire alternator inward or outward to adjust the tightness of the v-belt. After adjustment, the fixing bolts should be tightened reliably.
3. Replace v-belt
When the v-belt surface has cracks, abrasion, peeling and other precursor phenomena, or the sound of slipping occurs, it means that the v-belt may break. At this time, the v-belt should be replaced in time.
Installation of V-belt:
1. Before installation, if the middle distance between the two shafts is adjustable, the middle distance should be shortened first, and then the middle distance can be adjusted as required after the V-belt is installed.
2. Don't use things to pry or pull the V-belt during installation to prevent the V-belt too loose or too tight.
3. It is necessary to check and adjust the tightness of v-belt frequently to make it meet the demand.
