Bolts are connecting parts of steel structure. According to the bearing capacity, they can be divided into two types: ordinary bolts and high-strength bolts. The notes in the construction of steel structure bolts as following:
1. For the bolt connection of dynamic load or important parts, the spring washer should be placed according to the design requirements, and the spring washer must be put on the side of the nut.
2. The installation of high-strength bolts should be able to run through the holes freely, and forcible run through is strictly unallowed. The hole diameter of the high-strength bolts connecting steel plate should be a little larger than the bolt diameter and the hole must be drilled.
3. The way connection of high-strength bolts is usually divided into friction connection, tension connection and pressure connection. Among them, friction connection is the basic connection and widely used at present.
4. The installation sequence of high-strength bolts: start from the larger rigid position of steel plate to the unconstrained position. The high-strength bolts on a joint should be tightened one by one from the middle of the bolt group to the surroundings, then re-tightening and final tightening. Each time they are tightened, different colors of paint should be used to mark to prevent miss any bolts. The initial tightening, re-tightening and final tightening of high-strength bolts in the same joint should be completed within 24 hours. If there is no prescribed design, it should be according to tight the high-strength bolts first and then welding.
